Join us for the Annual Sixth Form Geography Conference 2026, hosted by the ÐÔÉ«ÌÃ in association with the Lincoln Branch of the Geographical Association. Taking place on Wednesday 4 November 2026, this free hybrid event offers Sixth Form Geography students and staff the opportunity to explore a range of fascinating geographical topics, hear from university academics and gain insights into the latest research shaping our understanding of the world.
Event Overview
This exciting event brings together university academics to share their expertise and research across a diverse range of contemporary geographical issues.
From the role of the Greenland Ice Sheet in global climate change to the relationships between gender, media and geography, the conference will explore the connections between people, places and the environment. Attendees will also discover how studying the past can help us predict future environmental change, explore the influence of language and power on our understanding of nature, and learn how animals can help restore physical landscapes. For those attending in person, there will also be an opportunity to experience a live river flume demonstration, bringing geographical processes to life through practical experimentation.
Designed to complement A Level Geography studies, the conference offers students an opportunity to broaden their geographical knowledge, engage with university-level research and discover what studying Geography at university could involve.
This event is being run in person and online and is free to attend. Advance booking is required.
